coming together with a strong belief of utilizing their leadership skills and years of experience in wellness and well-being. With the aim of empowering communities to achieve a good quality of life. The concept of NAFS was initiated following the pursuit of graduate studies from England and noticing a gap in the understanding of quality of life dimensions.

Dr. Ghalia N. Abdeen

Ghalia is a clinical dietician with an academic and research background; She is interested in weight loss mechanism, appetite, ingestive behavior and changes in eating behavior. Ghalia was the Chairwoman of “Kayl” Association for combating obesity; Saudi Arabia, for the past 8 years, as well as a member of international Committees and associations. Ghalia is also a writer that tackles issues related to women including women empowerment, society, family and human interactions. Ghalia is a great believer in “holistic approaches”; as well as “Soul Luxury” as she calls it.

Dr. Yara A. Almuhtadi

Yara is a wellness advocate with vast academic experience in the field of Nutrition and Behavior change. She was the Head of Awareness Team at National Nutrition Committee, Saudi Food and Drug Authority. Her interest in raising community awareness on wellness extends to media and communication, in which she created and hosted two podcasts. She firmly believes in the importance of empowering communities with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve a good quality of life.

Dr. Madhawi M. Aldhwayan

Madhawi is a Clinical Dietician with academic and research background, anti-obesity stigma advocate. She is interested in weight loss mechanism, appetite, and changes in eating behavior. She is a member of the scientific advisory council at the National Nutrition committee, Saudi Food and Drug Authority. Her passion for wellness arises from a deep desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives, to provide a nurturing space where individuals can explore and enhance their well-being.
